I'm not gonna sugar coat it, while I did genuinely enjoy reading this, there are some things I didn't like. The story itself has merrit. The idea Finnian Valko had was different and unique, could have made a good epic, but I was a bit put off at the second half of the story when it turned into a cliche romantic drama. I'm not into romantic drama, not everyone is. I'm not saying that this book is absolutely terrible, it is definitely worth checking out if you can cuz I know there are readers out there that would love a deep story filled with passion like this. I just think it needs a little more work done to it. I heard that Finnian Valko wrote this and published it for a little over a month and a half, even for a short book, that's not enough time to make a book a best seller (if that's what he was going for). And I know there are self publishers out there who have published work that they have written for longer than a month and a half and their books turned out outstanding. This one while it has merrit, feels kinda rushed out the door. But as I said before, this is still worth reading. So if you're a fan of passionate stories, even short ones, give this book a shot. :)Product details

You Know It!
A lot of passion was put into this novel and it shines through. The plot and characters are great and i would recommend checking out this authors other works.
I saw what you did there. Adding your other story to the end of this one. It did tie together nicely, though. Kudos for that! I could kind of see some of the characters that may have alluded to real people in his life. The expansion of this world, going back 2000 years, then to present time was really cool to see. Other types of dragons were also revealed, and they were interesting. (I would like to see a wind dragon) We got to see the origin of how Ashkenaz and Heolstor were influences in Jehoash's life, and what Jehoash had to go through in his young life. I think having to fight an uphill battle just because of who you are inside is something that resonated with me as I read this. We're all searching for what our purpose is, and what it means in this world. Societal norms be damned.
I do have to say that while I did enjoy this story, there were a few things I found off in this book. Although this may sound nitpicky, I did find a few spelling errors, though few and far between. Also, I felt the fight between Jehoash and Anu was a bit rushed. It would have been cool to have fleshed it out more since this was supposed to be an epic fight. I did feel the emotional parts of the story, from the Ascension Flames to the moments with Jessabelle. I would recommend anyone who likes a good, independent, fiction story with good action, and great characters, to get this book, whether digital or physical!
